How to Find Local Pet Friendly Events This Summer

It’s summer time- and that means being outside as much as we can to soak up the sun! Here are a few tips on how to find pet friendly events near you. This way you can go explore and do it with your dog for double the fun!

Patio’s Patio’s Patio’s!

Summertime equals patio season! Most restaurants with outdoor seating will allow you to have your furry friend dine with you outdoors. If you are unsure, call the restaurant to ask if they are dog friendly. You can also message them on social media or their website for a response.

Another great way to find these places is to go for a walk! Take your dog for a walk around your local dining area and see if you can spot other pups out ding with their owners! If they are out, most likely you can also bring your dog to the same place.

Check Social Media

Another great way to find dog friendly activities is to check with your local neighborhood Facebook group! Most areas will have a local group associated with it- Ask to join if you are not already a member. Then, make a post asking your neighbors for dog friendly places in your area! 9/10 times you will get great answers with new ideas!

Word of Mouth

Chances are you know other people who own dogs, who know other people with dogs- ask them for recommendations! This way you and your friends can both bring your dogs along to hang out! No dog friends? No worries! Take your pup to a dog park and ask the other dog owners who are there- a great conversation starter!

Hiking & Camping

Hiking is a great dog friendly activity anywhere you are! Look online or visit alltrails.com for a hiking trail near you! Even if its a walk along the nearest pond or lake, walking is great beneficial activity for both you and your pup!

Interested in camping? Bring your dog along this time! Most campsites are dog friendly, as you are spending all of your time outdoors. Camping is a fun way to get your dog out of the house and explore nature!
